Matthew joined the salon in the spring of 2023 and offers sports and remedial massage, providing bespoke one to one sessions he understands no two clients are the same, each session will be tailored to the needs of the individual, ensuring each client feels relaxed and comfortable.

Matthew has always had a passion for fitness and football, playing for youth academies at Bristol City, Portsmouth, Bristol Rovers and finally Exeter City until he was released in 2014, with a recurring injury putting an end to his footballing aspirations. It was during these periods of rehabilitation that his interest in sports therapy began. He starting showing a keen interest in the treatments he was receiving so after leaving school he decided to pursue this interest and began studying Sports Development Coaching and Fitness at Bridgwater College. Upon qualifying in 2017 worked as a massage therapist, concurrently building a good reputation among new and existing clients.

He also holds qualifications Sport and Injury Massage Therapy, Deep Tissue Massage, Kinesiology Taping and  Cupping Therapy which are the perfect compliment to his massage treatments and and this is where the magic happens…….. cupping therapy will treat muscle and joint pains effectively and the kinesiology taping continues to decrease  massage client’s pain between their massage visits.

On top of this, Matthew is a qualified personal trainer (LEVEL 3) which affords him the ability to advise on best practices, demonstrate correct techniques as well as providing expert knowledge on all aspects of body conditioning.

Having been involved in football at a professional level, gaining first-hand experience of therapy and treatment at the highest level he now looks forward to working with individuals both amateur and professional to help them achieve their own goals and aspirations.
